The Mystery Of Area-51
74We have all heard of Area 51 and how the U.S. government is dedicated
to reverse engineer one or more flying saucers collected after an
accident. He even mentions that there are stored the corpses of his
crew. And if you think all that is published there, maybe even convince
you that in Area 51 are some aliens living. Much of the blame for all
those bullshit lies with the U.S. government itself, which for decades
did nothing to dispel wild rumors.
The truth is that the Pentagon was fitting that the rumors
continued to circulate, despite that allow a guided tour of its
facilities the problem was solved. But instead of clarifying matters,
the U.S. government kept the airspace over the place as "restricted
area", could not travel on the roads leading to Area 51 and all mention
of the basis in official documents was automatically classified
"Secret." All this became the place where the Holy Grail of conspiracy
theorists, giving rise to the wildest speculations. The ufologists were
ordered to explain that the Pentagon kept in place flying saucers and
extraterrestrials stored in freezers. The urban legend that includes
information such as Area 51 is connected by underground tunnels-by
trains traveling to other secret facilities located throughout the
country. In 2001, Katie Couric, an American journalist who became known
as co-anchor of the Today Show (NBC), he told his audience that 7% of
Americans doubt the moon landing was real, and that it was of a
production mounted in the Nevada desert. Millions of people believe
that, within buildings and hangars denied by the government but
confirmed by Google Earth, is the biggest conspiracy in history.
The main livelihood of all these stories is the lack of official records to explain what actually happens there. However, five people who are very familiar area 51 have broken their silence and seem to finally know the truth. Col. Hugh "Slip" Slater, 87, who was commander of the base in the 1960s is one of them. Edward Lovick, 90, who spent thirty years doing radar tests on some of the most famous aircraft in the world of aircraft (including U-2, A-12 and F-117) is also part of the group. Another is Ken Collins, who is 80 summers on his back and was test driver for the CIA he received the Silver Star. Thornton "T.D." Barnes, 72, an engineer in charge of engineering projects of Area 51, and Harry Martin, 77, charged with managing the fuel supply at the base, complete the group. These men, retired, have begun to talk about who actually cooked in the secret base.
On 24 May 1963, Kenneth Collins flew out of restricted airspace in the
Area 51 secret spy plane with the code name OXCART, built by the
Lockheed Aircraft Corporation. Utah was on when the aircraft failed and
had to eject over a field of weeds. Collins remembers that day clearly.
"Three guys came to me driving a van. They saw the plane crash behind
me, and offered to take me to him. " Until that time, and because of
the high secrecy surrounding the apparatus, no civilian had his eyes on
the OXCART. "I told them not us to approach the aircraft, which had a
nuclear weapon on board." The story fitted into the framework of the
Cold War, as many nuclear tests were conducted in Nevada. The CIA was
responsible for covering up the accident and, in official records,
mentions that an F-105 Air Force down there.
The CIA also subjected Collins to the truth serum to see if he had
not hidden anything about the facts surrounding the accident. The boys
in the van were located and forced to sign a confidentiality agreement
about what happened. OXCART was safe. For eight years the CIA had been
working with spy planes at Area 51, with the express mission of
providing tools to the intelligence services to prevent nuclear war.
The aerial survey was an important part of this preventive work and the
base was one of its cornerstones. "But I always called Area 51," says
Edward Lovick, the physicist who developed the stealth technology. "We
referred to it as Paradise Ranch (Rancho Paradise), to persuade men to
abandon their families and were to work to secret place. "
It made nearly 3,000 test flights over the desert. When someone saw one of these monsters move at speeds up to Mach 3, nearly always convinced he saw a spacecraft from another planet and fantasy about Area 51 would be increased. The CIA, of course, was delighted to have a cover like that. But the Cold War ended, and a group of elderly veterans are starting finally to reveal what is really happening there. And, as often happens, the reality is far less exciting than the myth. Ladies and gentlemen, ET does not live in Nevada. And what a paradox: conspiracy fans helped the U.S. government to keep secret what really mattered. Did you learn your lesson?
